The types of crafts that work well at craft parties are, painting crafts for the younger children eg. our groovy snake or princess mask. Older children would enjoy beading and jewelry, our painted stone bracelet or the suncatcher would be great!!
Chidlren love to dress up! Encourage children to dress up at your next party, Even have a heap of dress ups ready for when the children arrive.
A great game with dress ups!! Place some silly dress ups in a box(silly dress ups like funny noses, ears, wigs, crowns, capes etc) get the children to form a circle around the box. Now you can play this two ways, the chidlren can pass around a soft ball or something and when the music stops the have to pull a dress up out the box and put it on, another way to play it is to spin a bottle (or something similar) in the center of the circle, the person that the bottle lands on puts on a dress up. Older kids love this game too, the sillier the dress up the better!!
Theme parties are great if a child has a particular favourite character, Themed party supplies can be ordered from most party stores.
There are some great new Blindfold games available on our website (party supplies)We have a Pirate blind fold game, a Sport blindfold game and a shopping blindfold game. These are great they come with a poster, eight stickers and a blindfold.
For something different, print out a photo of the birthday girl or boy, make it quite large A3 works the best, black and white is fine. Choose an interesting item to stick on for example a lolly, dummy, hair clip, nose etc, and play the game following the rule for a normal blindfold game.
Pass the Parcel is a great favourite, we have some great prizes and novleties for a pass the parcel game on our website. For a different pass the parcel idea try placing notes in the wrappers with things to do written on them, like pretend your a chicken, or run around the cricle backwards, sing your favourite song, or do a sliiy laugh, the sillier the better. This game is great for older children.
A great pass the parcel game to play at a party for older girls is to place make up, fake nails, and body jewels etc inbetween the wrappers. Girls can dress up using the items in the parcel.
Treasure hunts are always a party favourite, treasure hunts can be played two ways, children can be given a list of items to find and the first group or individual back with all items wins the prize, the other way to play is to hide lollies or novelties and let the chidlren search for them. Both are great fun.
